Last week, a colleague of mine, who likes Moby as much as I do, told me there was a live performance to buy on iTunes. It’s an unplugged Moby performance recorded in Montreal.
Wait for me might not be the prefered album from the fans, and it may not be the bes tour for some of them.
I personnally enjoyed the concert in Ancienne Belgique A LOT, and this unplugged version is also really, really nice. This is an iTunes exlusive album, just for you to know, you won’t find it in other stores.
The Dead Weather : this is the last band I discovered.
A long time friend of mine just talked about it last week in a bar, and when we listened to it, I instantly liked their music.
It’s yet another project with Jack White.
This time he’s playing with Alison Mosshart (of The Kills and Discount), Dean Fertita (of Queens of the Stone Age) and Jack Lawrence (of The Raconteurs and The Greenhornes).
Very nice and powerful sound.
Listen to it, and let me know if you like it.
We Are Hunted, or wearehunted, or WAH: a nice music app I like on the web.
What is it ?
Well as they say, on wearehunted.com, you’ll be able to listen to the “99 most popular emerging songs in the world”
It’s actually some kind of music chart, being updated all the time. The songs go up and down. You’ll be able to listen to the songs you want be clicking on the thumbnail, or you can let the songs play one after another.
There are different categories:
- Main: main 99 most popular emerging songs
- Twitter: the most popular songs based on twitter updates
- REMIX: the most popular remixes (this one I like a lot !)
- Genre: he most popular songs by genre
Then you can sort the displayed songs by time (emerging meaning the most recent, or on a weekly/monthly basis)
Finally, you can also get the songs by artists or by song names.
You can create your wah page, by adding the songs you like and share the page with your friends.
You can easily share tracks on wah with your friends via twitter, facebook etc ….
It’s been a while since I wrote something here.
Been busy, launching some extra work after office hours, projects being carried on, and first major website is about to be launched !!
I also have plenty of new stuff to write about … and in the meantime, I’ll just announce that I’ve added a nice widget on the page.
If you look right, just beneath the flickr/linkedin/last.fm/etc logos, you’ll find a music player.
I’ts coming from grooveshark.com (I’ll write an article about Grooveshark, because I really fell in love with this application).
I’ll be changing the song from time to time, and choose the one I listen the most.
For starters, I’d like you to listen to Selah Sue.
She’s a young belgian singer I discovered at Bucolique Festival last summer.
She already has en EP, and is since recently Moby’s new friend.
She has an extraordinary voice, she sings like nobody and I think she will be buzzing in the music world in the coming months !
Here’s the song and some picture of Selah Sue:
Enjoy the music, no day should pass without good music in your ears !
