We Are Hunted

We Are Hunted, or wearehunted, or WAH: a nice music app I like on the web.
What is it ?

Well as they say, on wearehunted.com, you’ll be able to listen to the “99 most popular emerging songs in the world”
It’s actually some kind of music chart, being updated all the time. The songs go up and down. You’ll be able to listen to the songs you want be clicking on the thumbnail, or you can let the songs play one after another.

There are different categories:

- Main: main 99 most popular emerging songs
- Twitter: the most popular songs based on twitter updates
- REMIX: the most popular remixes (this one I like a lot !)
- Genre: he most popular songs by genre

Then you can sort the displayed songs by time (emerging meaning the most recent, or on a weekly/monthly basis)
Finally, you can also get the songs by artists or by song names.

You can create your wah page, by adding the songs you like and share the page with your friends.
You can easily share tracks on wah with your friends via twitter, facebook etc ….

Discover really nice stuff with We Are Hunted !!!

I recently discovered decluttr.
You probably already knew the ‘view on black’ links in a flickr picture description.
Most of the people use the On Black tool from Big Huge Labs.

Got my MOO business cards !!!

This morning, a small package was waiting for me on my desk.
My Moo business cards arrived !! I was so excited !!

The come in a nice protected thick envelope, and inside, you get a very nice box, made out of recycled pulp board.
Cards are printed on paper sourced from sustainable forests.
Print quality is really great, and colors are perfect.

Every card has a unique picture printed on it, a picture I took.
This is really great when you’re shooting a concert, or talking about webdesign, and someone turns to be a potential customer.
You give him/her a great bizcard, totally in connected to your business.

MOO.com is gives you all the tools to create these (or another product, like mini cards).
You can connect your flickr account and retrieve your pics.
You can use a photo set, a collection, search by tag… really great and userfriendly !

I am just excited about it !!
Here are some pics of the cards (taken quickly @ work, some other will come)

Creating a .ico favicon is no big deal !

Hey there !
Have you ever felt desperate creating a favicon ?
Not the graphical creation process, which should be even fun, but the fact of saving the favicon with .ico format ? The fact that .ico isn’t a format Photoshop supports by default when saving a file ?

Well, I found a pretty nice and handy tool to create a favicon out of a .png/.jpg/.gif/.bmp file: The favicon generator
Just select the file you created (I usually create a 64×64 pixels file, it’s easier than a 16×16 canvas) click on convert and, … that’s it !

The last steps are:

- upload the file to your images folder on your hosting
- call the favicon using the code below:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />

As a reminder: most mordern browsers support .png and .gif formats, but our friend Microsoft Internet Explorer is still acting oldschool, and asks for a .ico file. (.ico file format is a raster format used for icons in windows). So the best thing to do, is use this format, until all browsers support .png and .gif

I created a temporary favicon for my website wich looks like this on the 64×64 pixels version:

This will look like this on the tab bar of your browser:

flickr fave of the week #1

I spend a lot of time on flickr, most of it browsing other people’s work.
And I am amazed how much talent is on this site.
I decided to share one of my flickr faves every week.
I won’t be posting every wednesday, but once per week, that’s for sure !

The first fave I wanna share with you is a picture taken by flore, a real good friend of mine.
She’s a swiss girl, living in Lausanne, and she has a real gift capturing moments, playing with light and expressing moods.
This picture is a self-portrait she took in her garden, surrounded with some kind of banana tree leafs

Here it is !
Hope you like it !
Do not hesitate to browse flore’s pictures, she’s really gifted !
