I recently discovered decluttr.
You probably already knew the ‘view on black’ links in a flickr picture description.
Most of the people use the On Black tool from Big Huge Labs.

Well decluttr works just as fine.
But it has something cool: no need to go on their website, and choose a picture or paste its url, you only need to click on the bookmarklet you picked once and it’s done !

The come in a nice protected thick envelope, and inside, you get a very nice box, made out of recycled pulp board.
Cards are printed on paper sourced from sustainable forests.
Print quality is really great, and colors are perfect.

Every card has a unique picture printed on it, a picture I took.
This is really great when you’re shooting a concert, or talking about webdesign, and someone turns to be a potential customer.
You give him/her a great bizcard, totally in connected to your business.

MOO.com is gives you all the tools to create these (or another product, like mini cards).
You can connect your flickr account and retrieve your pics.
You can use a photo set, a collection, search by tag… really great and userfriendly !

I am just excited about it !!

The first fave I wanna share with you is a picture taken by flore, a real good friend of mine.
She’s a swiss girl, living in Lausanne, and she has a real gift capturing moments, playing with light and expressing moods.
This picture is a self-portrait she took in her garden, surrounded with some kind of banana tree leafs

From dusk til dawn

This is a pretty easy thing to do !!
What you need is a panorama picture, where both sides (left and right) are similar (horizon level has to be more or less at the same level).

Once you have your picture opened in photoshop, first change the size of the image (image > image size).
Unselect the constrain proportions option, and set the same height as the width of the picture: you should get a square image.
Make a 180° rotation of the image (edit > transform > rotate 180°).

Once this is done, one more step and we’ll get something looking like a planet:
You need to apply the polar coordinates filter (filter > distort > polar coordinates).
Once you have the window opened, choose the rectangular to polar option (see below)

That’s it !!
You should have a nice planet now !!

Next and final step is to make some retouching to get a nice, clean, and awesome result !

J’étais en route pour aller voir Revolutionary Road (Les Noces Rebelles) à l’UGC Toison d’OR, et il était là: un énooooorme lapin !

Comme ceux en chocolat. Mais celui là on ne pouvais pas le manger.

Mon choix s’est porté sur un wordpress, car j’ai toujours eu pas mal de choses à partager.
Et puis vu que mes connaissances en php ne permettaient pas de créer une plateforme aussi puissantes en 27 minutes top chronos comme un certain David, il fallait bien que je prenne une base solide, et que je mette ma touche graphique par dessus.
Le café, pour plusieurs raisons:

• j’aime le café, j’en bois régulièrement et c’est un goût que j’apprécie particulièrement
• le café prend des couleurs que j’aime beaucoup, qu’il soit “noir”, au lait, qu’on boive un lait russe, ou encore un cappuccino, les couleurs sont superbes
• le café est une substance licite dont les webdesigners et autres webdeveloppers abusent allègrement, une denrée commune et connue de tous

Bref, un tous nouveau site pour aller avec ma nouvelle tête !!
